How do you troubleshoot a computer?

    Before going start the session let me explain few things

Computer services is nothing but common sense.. Computer desktop also kind of electronic devices where everyone can do basic troubleshoot them itself.

There are few very basic troubleshooting methods which save your lot of timing.

The first step of Computer trouble shooting beginning with isolate the computer issue. Whether its laptop or desktop first activity we must isolate the computer problems..

For example you are not getting any signal or message on your computer monitor screen.Before going to start the troubleshooting we need to identify few things.

Whether your computer not getting power on? or you are not getting display on your screen?

Both issues are looks like similar but lot of difference between them?

Here few steps to identify that.

Identify the power on issues
1. First check the Power LED on your CPU unit.
2. In case your power LED not blinking before going to isolate the issue on your computer recheck the status.
3. For that use the very basic solution called Power drain.
4. Remove the power cable from your computer then press and hold your power button for 20 Secs.
5. Connect the power cable and try to switch on the system again.
6. Still Power LED not turn up in your CPU then you can come to the conclusion that your system having power on issue.

Identify the No display issues.

1. Check the power LED status on your CPU unit. If its in on status you can come to the confirm the power on status on your computer desktop.
2. Now come to the monitor and check the power LED status. If you could see the blinking power LED on the monitor mean your monitor also in power on condition.
3. Now remove the VGA cable from your computer and check the monitor screen, If you are getting the “CHECK SIGNAL CABLE” message you can confirm the working status of monitor.
3. Plus the VGA cable to CPU unit and try the power drain method.
4. Remove the power cable from your computer then press and hold your power button for 20 Secs.
5. Connect the power cable and try to switch on the system again.
6. Still if you are not getting the signal from monitor you can conclude that your system having no Display issue.
